About half of the world’s population menstruates, yet period health is still rarely taught or openly discussed. In many communities, it’s a taboo topic, and even in schools with health science classes, it’s often only briefly mentioned. This lack of education and dialogue prevents women and girls from sharing their experiences. As a result, many stay stuck in the cycle of silence and isolation, and may even feel shame around this beautiful, life-giving phenomenon.

At Nari Satya Foundation, we aim to challenge the scarcity around period health. We work with schools and other local community organizations to provide a safe space for women to share their collective experience. We seek deep and meaningful connections with the women we meet, which helps them open up about their stories.
